Independent Learning Center - GED Help
Individual study allows you to prepare on your own, using materials such as commercial study guides and practice tests. Check the Preparation Materials section for a list. Local libraries and bookstores also carry GED study materials. This area contains short study guides to assist students prepare for the GED test. Included are sample questions and answers from the different sections of the test, as well as a marking guide for each area.

The complete GED Series 2002 Practice Tests consists of 5 tests that you need to pass in order to receive your high school equivalency diploma. This GED package offers essential practice in Mathematics, Reading, Science, Social Studies, and Writing that is consistent with the GED Series 2002 test content and format.

The AACC University Consortium GED Practice Test
The Official GED Practice Test takes 5-6 hours to complete, is half the length of the actual GED test, and includes questions similar in content, difficulty and format to the actual test. This is an excellent way to practice your test-taking skills under simulated test conditions. After completing the Practice Test, you will review your results with a test administrator and find out whether you should take the Official GED test or register for classes first.

Official GED Practice Test
For the first time, actual Official GED Practice Tests are available for home use. These Official Practice Tests are the only GED pretests that can accurately predict your real GED Test. Designed by the same test writers who write the actual GED Tests, these Official GED Practice Tests use the same norms and questions as the real GED tests, but are half the length. Each Official GED Practice Test kit contains 6 pretest booklets covering Language Arts Reading, Language Arts Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies. The GED Practice Test kit includes an Official Answer Sheet, Answer Key, and Conversion Table to determine your readiness for the real GED Test.

GED Testing
The Testing Center is certified to administer GED exams. The five tests that are offered include: language arts/writing, language arts/reading, social studies, science and math. Total testing time for all five exams is just over seven hours. Tests are spread over two days, allowing candidates an opportunity to structure test-taking times around work and other personal responsibilities. The cost for the first five exams is $65. Re-tests are $15 per exam.
